We want this website to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, voice control or a magnified screen.

What that means in practice

• Every page works without a mouse: everything can be reached with the keyboard, with a visible outline on what has focus, and a link to skip straight to the content.
• The site's colours come from palettes measured against the WCAG contrast standard before they can be chosen.
• Text can be enlarged without the layout breaking.
• Every image carries a description; that is checked every time the site is built.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, nothing on the site moves.
• The pages need no JavaScript to be read or used.
