A new website
A new website, designed from scratch
For a business with no site, or with something so old that starting again is cheaper than saving it. $1,500 at the launch rate, then $79 a month to host it, keep it patched and change it when you ask.
What you get
- A site designed around your business rather than a template with your logo in the corner — your services, your service area, the questions your customers actually ask before they call.
- Written pages. Not filler: the words are drafted from what you tell us about the work you do, and nothing goes live that you have not read.
- Your phone number and one obvious next action visible without scrolling, on a phone.
- Structured data for your trade, so a search engine is handed your services, area, hours and phone as facts.
- A contact form that records the enquiry rather than only emailing it, so nothing is lost to a spam folder.
- A privacy policy and an accessibility statement, because a business with a contact form needs both.
- The domain registered in your name, at cost. Email forwarding to the inbox you already use, free.
How it is built, and why that is the part worth paying for
The site is a set of plain HTML files served from Cloudflare's network. There is no database to be broken into, no plugin to update, and no platform runtime you are renting. That is the reason the monthly plan is $79 rather than several hundred, and the reason a site we build does not develop faults while nobody is looking at it.
It also means the whole thing is portable. If you ever leave us, you take a folder of files and a domain in your name, and any host on earth will serve it.
The standard is checked, not claimed
Every rule below is an automated check that runs before the site can be published. If one fails, the site does not go out — which is a different kind of promise from one made in an email:
- Largest Contentful Paint under 2.0 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint under 100ms, Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.05.
- No JavaScript shipped unless a feature genuinely needs it.
- No image over 200 KB, converted to modern formats at build time, with width and height set so nothing jumps as the page loads.
- Built to WCAG 2.2 AA: one heading outline, real alt text, contrast checked, everything reachable from a keyboard.
- No cookies. No third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. An undeclared connection to anybody else's server fails the build.
Being found — the honest version
Nobody can sell you a ranking, and anybody who does is selling you something they do not control. What we can do is remove the reasons a site is not found: pages that render on the server rather than in the browser, so a crawler and an AI assistant both read the same words a person does; structured data for your trade; one clear topic per page; your name, address and phone identical everywhere; and a page per area you actually serve, written about that area rather than spun from a template.
That last point matters more than it sounds. Search engines penalise pages that differ only by the town name in the title, so we would rather write four real area pages than forty fake ones.
Changing it afterwards
You describe the change in your own words and send it. A small change — a price, an opening time, a phone number, a paragraph, a photograph — is live within minutes. Anything larger, anything structural, or anything that could break a page comes to us to do properly first. We would rather tell you it needs checking than let a site quietly break on a Friday.
What is not included
Photography, logo design, paid advertising, and ongoing content writing are not in the $1,500 and we will say so rather than pad the quote. If you need any of them we will tell you what it involves before you commit to anything.

About a new build
How long does it take?
We are not going to give you a number we have not measured. Nobody has timed one of these end to end yet, and a date invented to close a sale is a date that gets missed. What we will do is agree the sequence with you at the start and tell you where it is whenever you ask.
How many pages do I get?
We do not price per page, because it punishes the part that is cheap for us and starts an argument about what counts as a page. You get the pages your business needs to answer the questions your customers ask. If that turns out to be much larger than a normal trade site — a full catalogue, a booking system, a members' area — we will say so before quoting rather than after.
Do I have to write the content?
No, but we do need your facts. What you fix, what you do not, which areas you cover, what a job usually costs, what you want people to call about. We draft from that; you read it before it goes live. A page written from nothing helps nobody, and search engines are actively good at spotting it.
Do you build on WordPress?
Not for this. A WordPress build is a real option for a business that needs bulk imports or genuinely dynamic features, and we will say so if that is you. For the site a trade business actually needs, WordPress adds a database, a plugin list and a monthly patching obligation, and you would pay for all three every month for the rest of the site's life.
What happens if I want to stop?
You take the domain, which is already in your name, and the built site, which is a folder of files. There is nothing to unlock and nothing held back. We would rather that be true than have a client stay because leaving is painful.
